I'm nearly 29 wks pg and for the last week I've been having internal pelvis pain whenever lo wriggles or kicks down there, feels quite sharp at times and is generally uncomfortable. Question is, is it SPD or a water infection? Advice would be appriciated so I know if I should put up with it or go to the docs.
TIA x

you shouldn't put up with it whatever.

do you have a burning sensation when you use the toilet? yes - then check out a water infection.

if spd - then tell your midwife and self refer to the physio. you should have the details in your notes - better to tackle this earlier rather than later and spend the last stages on crutches or even hospital bed rest - it really isn't very pleasant.

urinary infection can show with burning on going to the toilet, strong smelling cloudy urine. My pelvis became unstable postnatally and i felt it when going upstairs and taking large steps and getting off the floor. Check with your mw. hth

No burning when I go to the toilet so doesn't look like a water infection then.
I'll ask my midwife next time I see her. Thanks.

in pregnancy you can have a water infection without the burning urine, so I'd get it checked out ASAP by your midwife or Dr

Hope it's not SPD, it sucks (I had it & DD is 6months old & I'm still not back to normal...)

Have been on the spd uk homepage tonight and I have lots of symptoms and history so it looks like it may be. Was hoping for a water infection Grin
