Short back story, had a cs in Sept last yr due to dd2 being discovered breech during early labour. 3 months later I was pg again and started to weigh up my options for VBAC/ELCS.

I chose to have an ELCS as I felt this was the better option for me. Plus, I've gone overdue with both my previous pg (i know this is no guarantee that I will again) and that would mean another section anyway. It's taken me arguing with the consultant mw, 2 different consultants but I finally got the green light from the consultant I'm now seeing and she has agreed that my arguments are well considered and I'm not just choosing a section because I had one last time.

I'm now 32+5 and yesterday I did my weekly shop and it felt like I had a bowling ball between my legs. It honestly felt like I'd either crapped my pants or the head was actually in between my legs.

All last night I was having what I would call, small contractions/braxton hicks. Not painful but noticeable and very very uncomfortable.

This morning I've had two pains, one like a dull achey period type pain all over my scar area (never had an issue with the scar during this pg) and 2 quite painful braxton hicks. Plus quite a few tightenings.

Should I start monitoring these now or just let it pass as I probably just did too much yesterday with the shopping and then mw in the afternoon?

I would want to be checked out today tbh, not worth risking pain in your scar.

agreed go and get checked now

Thanks for responses, I need to find someone to have dd2 for me and then I'm heading to the hospital.

Fingers crossed everything's okay, good luck.

Hope all is ok. I would defiantly want checking x

Well, finally manahed to get someone to look after dd2 and am now sat on a bed hooked to the monitor to check for contractions.

Baby is fully engaged but I don't seem to be dialating (sp) so its just making sure that these pains are braxton hicks and not proper contractions and that I'm not going into early labour.

I'm hoping I'm not going into early labour.... I've not got everything yet!

The pain across the scar doesn't seem to be anything worrying. They said it could just be baby moving funny but they've checked it anyway and all is ok.

Hopefully heading home soon.

Looks like I'm having very sporadic contractions but as I'm not dialating/had any signs of early labour they don't seem to be too concerned by them.

They've said any form of further signs of anything at all I need to come straight back in.

Really hoping I don't go into labour early now!!
