I'm only 5+6 and coughing my guts up, my tummy muscles are sore and it's driving me insane.

What can I take? I'm desperate Hmm

why are you coughing? is it a post nasal drip cough (gets much worse when you lie down, is a choking cough) or the result of a chest infection (wet sucking cough)

if you think it is an infection get to the doctor for some AB's.

if it is post nasal you could try an anti histamine like piriton to calm down your sinuses and stop the flow of snot. piriton had been around for about 50 years and has no history of adverse reactions in pregnant women.

It's a bloody annoying dry tickly cough. Dp and dd have both been full of cold now I've got the end of it

I've had this lately. God, it's awful.

Sadly you can't really take anything. Honey and lemon helped soothe it a bit. And an extra pillow at night.

I also had this quite recently and got antibiotics from gp as they are more cautious when your pregnant. I hardly slept for two weeks thanks to the annoying cough and tight chest but it did pass. I inhaled lots of olbus oli which my mw said was just fine and took paracetomol for general aches n pains.
Hope your feeling ok soon x
