Hi all,

I just wanted to know whether this was normal or at least common, I'm 15 weeks with first, and every time I have been to the cinema within half an hour I am really nauseous and have to leave, I got a new larger screen for my computer at work and I am now getting the same nausea from the screen, (which my IT dept. is claiming is impossible). So have you heard of this before? Does it get better?

Possibly motion sickness? I get it if I sit too near the cinema screen and if there is too much going on for example an action movie. Also if I'm tired and scrolling on the Internet I feel sick. As far as I know mine is motion sickness so maybe yours is the same?

Definitely. In my first pg I couldn't watch tv at all as it really made me feel worse. Couldn't look at computer screen either or read. For "entertainment" I used to lie on my bed listening to radio 4! Couldn't stand music either Confused

Rather foolishly I went to see the new Star Trek in 3d at iMax in early pregnancy. Instant sickness!

Me too. Had a portable planetarium come to school before holidays. Was queasy 4 days later.

Hey! I thought it was just me! Computer and tv both make me worse!

Me too - tried to watch 'Hancock' on the big screen, upchuck central.

It's awful, only started recently and considering 90% of my job is in front of a screen it is causing real problems. Going to have to get my old little screen back. Hoping this new phase goes away soon!
