I'm overdue, being induced on Monday. I've tried everything and this one keeps being advised.

Would you? Have you?

NO! NO! NO! NO!
It's very bad! Apart from the fact that it gives you the incredible shits and if you do go into labour you have to labour with the shits, apparently there is a chance that it will cause the baby to pass meconium in utero which is very dangerous.
I went 2 weeks over with both of mine and I know its very frustrating, but please don't do this stupid thing. Wait. Do you really want to end your pg with diarhorrea or an ECS because baby is in distress? It'll come when it's ready, just be patient.

It is not advised and there will be many posters that will come on to tell you this......I did it Blush. I was 38 weeks, drank a small amount at 8pm, was quite sick, went to bed in a grump at 10pm as nothing had happened. Woke with stomach pain at 3am, got to hospital at 4am and was 8cm dialated and gave birth with one push to dd at 0620am, marked down in my notes as rapid vag delivery lol!! Who knows, maybe I would have gone into labour and been that quick anyway, I still believe it was the castor oil though.

Just to add I never had diarhorrea and it was 10 years ago when I didn't no any better. I wouldn't do it again.
