just wondered if the method of eating strawberries to bring on labour works or not?

I have never even heard of this. I think the chances of it having any effect at all is low to non-existent.

If you ate enough, they might give you the trots. Which might bring on labour (in the same way that castor oil and curries are meant to). It's not meant to be a nice way to bring on labour, though.
