11+ weeks and still no scan date.

Is anyone else in the same position? I am getting really frustrated.

Midwife is 'very sorry' as she cannot do anything as it is down to the ultrasound dept.

Ultrasound Dept say they are busy, they have my details and to hold my horses! (their words!) Apparently there are people more pregnant than me who have been waiting longer

I'm not pushing for a scan tomorrow. I just want a date so I can relax!

Is this normal?

I'm 16 weeks today and my first scan is tomorrow! Not really the hospital's fault as it was thought I'd miscarried so pregnancy wasn't confirmed until nearly 13 weeks.

The midwife tried to rush through an appointment for me and I was assured I'd hear within a week but no appointment came. So I rang the hospital and was told I'd missed my scan! Turned out they'd sent my appt. letter to our old address. Don't know how this happened because we moved here 7 years ago! Ah well... Did at least get to hear the baby's heartbeat at my check up with the midwife last week.

DH called today with his stern voice. The lady was much more pleasant to him, she kept reassuring him that we hadn't been forgotten and that a letter will be with me by Monday/Tuesday next week. (12 weeks and a couple of days) and I will have a scan the week after at the latest.

Still not good enough in my opinion. However its more information than I had before.

We have decided if there is no letter by Tuesday we will book private for Thurs or Friday next week. We have found somewhere that has availability within 2/3 days notice.

You want to have faith that a system you are using for the next 6 months is efficient but at the moment that faith is slowly diminishing!!

I live in Kingston and had my scan date about a month or so in advance! So must be a local hospital issue rather than area! Shame your still waiting, really hope you get a date soon. Fingers crossed

scan date confirmed! woop! despite them saying a letter will go out next week it was there when I got home!!!! Roll on next week!

Hurray, I'm glad you've finally got somewhere!!

Just to say the scan earlier this week went really well. One healthy little bean.

I hope the rest of you waiting have got dates now.
