Glucose testing

Got to go for a glucose test tomorrow as my blood result showed 7.2 yesterday.......is it just a case of giving blood, drinking a drink 10 mins later then giving blood again 2 hours later? I've got no choice but to take my 16 month with me so I'm hoping its that simple......I was told I can go home for the 2 hour wait.

Yep, it's as dull as that.

Blood test, revolting lemon drink, sit still for two hours, read dreadful magazines, another blood test.

I've never been allowed to leave the waiting room for the two hours - I think they don't want you to be moving around too much in that interim time, but I've also never been along with a toddler - so things might be different for you. Good luck!

I've got mine tomorrow too but I have to stay at the hospital. Not looking forward to it! Good luck!

Thanks I asked if it would be a problem if I brought my son and was told that there was a play park at the hospital if I was staying or could go home.....the midwife never mentioned resting but ill get more rest at home compared to keeping him amused at the hospitalSmile
