40+3 fed up and impatient!

That's about it really. Was due Saturday but baby has other ideas. Have GP appointment rather than midwife today so not sure if sweep will be an option. I'm ready to meet baby now! Did anyone get a sweep from GP or must it be the midwife?

I was due on Friday, and still no sign of DD, so I know how you feel. I take comfort in the fact that with every day that goes by, we are one step closer to September 1st - would love for DD to be among the oldest in her class, rather than one of the youngest. Your doctor should be able to do a membrane sweep for you, but apparently they don't always work. Good luck, I hope we both get to meet our babies very soon x

I'll join you with that - 40+2 today - that's despite being told at previous MW appointment (at 38weeks) that baby was imminent - now I feel I'm way later than I actually am... grr. Have to keep reminding myself about a) the september thing and b) that these are the last days of just me and DP before we become 3 so should enjoy to the max!

And me, I was due sat too, had a sweep but nothing happening yet. Another Thurs, then induction Sunday if no progress.

No sweep from GP so still hanging on! Baby is fully engaged now so fingers crossed he gets here before midwife apt on Monday. I was convinced I wanted him holding on for September's new school year but am fed up of this bit now

No advice.. Just know you must for feeling like you are wanting it over now. I am nearly 39 Weeks.. They will sweep next week as baby big. There is only so much hanging about you n do.. Hope all goes well for you.... And soon.
