Cold and sore throat :(

Is there anything except paracetamol I can take I asked the pharmacist and he said no, not even lockets to soothe my throat? I bought jakemans honey and lemon as they're like sweets?arent they?! Can I have them do you think? I'm in pain!!! Tia xxxxx

I was told ginger tea from chinese supermarket when asked my gp it worked though does sting when first drink it and had to follow it with hot vimto and honey to take away sting. Honey and lemon are both natural healers would be case of reading what other ingredients are and possible effects

I'm in same boat, feel dreadful with a burning sore throat. Think halls soothers are ok but they aren't amazing plus make me feel sick. I hate illness in pregnancy! Can't take anything :(

I have just had this and MW said I wasn't aloud anything except forparacenals and lemon/honey hot drinks. It was awful but I didn't want to risk asking anything not ok'd by MW so I stuck it out. Feeling better but it was dreadful. Hope you start feeling better soon Op. [flwers]

I find this works. Gurgle with the juice of half a lemon in the morning. Gurgle with lukewarm water with a pinch of salt in the evening. Or the other way around, as long as you alternate.

It's the only thing that really helps for me when I have a sore throat. You should really not take paracetamol for something like that.

If anyone has got a great remedy for a blocked nose I'd be very grateful!

Thanks ladies :) I feel shocking! I'm taking paracetamol for my headache! Seems I've got worse as the day goes on! This sucks! HmmHmmHmmHmmHmm Xxxx

Me too OP! Terrible sinus pain now too and I've got work tomorrow :( wonder if we are in same area and have same germ?! It's a bad one.

Yeah I'm not off Into work today, I have developed a cough over night and everytime I cough , I'm now sick! Great! Hmm I'm in Lincolnshire Hun, I got this from my 2 yr old niece bless her if she felt like I do poor thing :( feeling very sorry for myself xxxxxx
