Can you eat natural yoghurt?

Hi all, this might sound like a daft question but I am coming off the pill soon (actually in 2 days) to TTC with DC2 and at the moment I am loving Yeo valley's natural bio live yoghurt and I have only just started eating it as I heard it is very good for you. Is it safe to eat natural yoghurt when pregnant or trying to conceive? My initial thought is that it should be really good as full of calcium and protein but can anyone please confirm?

Yes perfectly safe, it's pasteurised.

Thank you so much, I was looking at the different natural yoghurt in the supermarket and most seem to say 'contains milk' so it isn't overly clear if pasteurised or not.

Yes, eat and enjoy!

I'm pretty sure supermarkets aren't allowed to sell any unpasturised dairy

Thanks Chocolatemartini, I did wonder if it is sold as you never see anything that says unpasteurised.

Yoghurt is always pasteurised. They have to sterilise the milk before they add the special culture that turns the milk into yoghurt. If the milk wasn't sterilised first then the culture wouldn't work. So totally safe to eat

Thanks all
