Is it possible to be allergic to pregnancy?

Or maybe the hormones?

I had bad hyperemesis in my first pregnancy which got worse towards the end, and now Im pregnant again and appear to have just carried on from where I left off.

And I know this is daft but I kind of do the same thing with other allergies, eg. I can wear the same brand/type of plaster a few times without ill effect but then I start reacting to them more and more.

I wondered this exact same thing during my first pregnancy. I felt that my body just couldn't cope with the hormones. I find it frustrating that there isn't much research on hyperemesis. I mean,I wonder if those with it have away higher levels of HCG than those who don't suffer, for example? Or another hormone?
