Pain when laid on left side

Hiya ladies Smile

When I sleep on my left side I seem to get a lot of pain in my uterus, kind of like period pain. Then when I roll onto my right side it seems to stop!

Tonight though it kinda seems opposite, it's aching a bit now I'm on my right side and my thighs are aching.

Anybody the same or know why? Smile

I'm 33 weeks and had something similar for a few weeks now, I now tend to rotate myself from one side to the other many times throughout the night, I think it's the weight pulling down. x

I had this on both sides, lower abdomen for two days. It was after I spent the weekend walking a lot, plus carrying around my toddler (18 months). I couldn't walk more then a few steps with out getting stitches etc. midwife said it was prob pulled muscle and would get better w rest, which it did. Of course, I was told to keep an eye on it etc. I made appointment w GP just in case, who took urine sample to rule out blader or kidney infection, took my blood reassure, listened to baby heartbeat etc. she said if I feel pain again, to go straight to hospital for scan just to make sure. Always good to be extra sure it's nothing serious. So far it's been a few days and all back to normal. I hope same goes for u!

Ooh ok! Do you know if your baby is engaged at all?
Now I've thought about it it seems to be since his had has engaged more, maybe that's what's causing the discomfort x

Bless you mama near! Sounds like you got a little overworked, must be difficult carrying a child when pregnant! I struggle to carry anything even slightly heavy, makes my stomach sore! Glad all was well for you Smile x

I'm only 31.5 weeks, so prob too early to be engaged? I suggest, you call midwife at your hospital just to go through your symptoms to make sure all okay. Unless, it's not too bad? For me, it was Bad enough, I felt I should at least ask and double check bc it was not normal for me, as I didn't have this first pregnancy. I always think, better to ask and make sure just in case, ESP when it comes to your baby and your health. Good luck! X
