I ate what I wanted to witin reason. I massivley craved sugar. So I did eat cjocolate, cake etc, but also made sure I ate alot of other healthy food too. I wasnt worried about what weight I would put on in pregnancy, just that the baby was getting enough goodness and not too much crap. Didnt stop me indulging in some nice treats though! :)

I'm making sure that my meals are packed with as many nutrients as possible, so I am definitely getting my 5 a day. I am not restricting what I eat though, if I fancy something a bit naughty I will have it. So far (33 weeks tomorrow) I am spot on with weight gain, so I must be doing something right.

I think it's more important to get a varied balanced diet than to stress about whether you are eating too much. Unless you are constantly pigging out on junk that won't sustain you, your body will tell you how much you need to eat. At times I have been very hungry, and I think baby has been having growth spurts at these times.

I try to make sure I'm eating all the nutrients etc that I need, but it's not easy due to a serious lack of appetite Sad I also lost weight the first trimester as well. Some days I am ravenous and I try to make the best of that, big yummy Sunday roast with all the veg etc...but 90% of the time I could quite happily get through a day on just a couple of slices of toast, have to literally force myself to eat to make sure I'm getting most of what I need. Hoping this gets better, although about to enter the third trimester so I guess this is probably just how it's gunna be for me Sad

First time round i didnt find out till i was 8weeks and i was terrified of getting fat so ate really healthy, snacking only on fruit and veg throughout. I had no cravings at all and was not sick once (nor did i feel sick)
This time (only 7weeks) i cannot stop eating and craving salt big time. I have put on about 4lbs already. Need to reign it in but i could just eat bucket loads of salted snacks all day! I also feel awfully sick on a morning though as yet have not been.

I have been under a consultant during my pregnancy and have been weighed at those appointments, not the normal midwife ones. I don't think they do it as standard, but seem to if you are under a doctor for any reason. They haven't commented on my weight at all, but from looking it up, I'm right on track which is good to know. :)
