Can anyone recommend a good Doppler and where I can buy one from. I have seen them on the Internet but ideally would like to go to a shop and buy one x

I recently bought an Angelsounds Fetal Doppler from amazon for £20. It says on the box you can use it from 14 - 16 weeks (I'm 26 weeks) but I read reviews of people being able to find the heartbeat before then. I personally found my little boy's heartbeat straight away, loud and clear :) also, there's no point buying any fancy ultrasound gel - baby oil works just as well. I honestly couldn't recommend it enough.

I would recommend the Sonoline B one. I found DS heartbeat at 7w6d and this one at 7w5d (although I have a lot of practice from the Hi Bebe one I had with my two pregnancies before that!) Most people should find it from 9-10 weeks. It also has the heart rate.

I know you wanted to get one from a shop but it's hard to find decent ones in the shop. The Sonoline B is definitely on eBay and probably on Amazon I'd have thought.

I've not used the Angelsounds, but from a quick look at reviews it seems the consensus is that it is not as sensitive as the Sonoline, so a lot depends on how far along you are.
