I'm about 32 weeks and I've got quite a big bump (carrying my lil man all out the front) and have never used a hedgecutter before... Decided to tackle the thick brambles in the back garden (think I'm 'nesting'- want everything perfect) not even sure if a hedgecutter will work on bramble? What do you think?

Whether this is or is not a euphemism, it's probably not the best idea.

Nooo hahaha was being serious! Can see how it looks now reading it back! Literally just want to cut down the bushes outside my window...

Just use secateurs, and v thick gloves. Even if you were experienced in hedge trimming, the bits that fly off and bounce back are not to be underestimated.

Don't you want to wait for the blackberries? :D

I did it front and back gardens lawns and hedges through entire pregnancy I had 2 summer babies. if you can avoid it do so since your heavily pregnant chill if you can. I just wanted things neat, that and you start doing weird things towards the end of pregnancy to keep occupied ? It can be a sign of an impending labour. Spring cleaning, cleaning doors, voiles, windows, kitchen grease I did all that I was nuts in retrospect looool

Euphemism Shock

Who knows you might be a few weeks before your due date? I was for all my kids, 2 weeks before due date nothing major.

I hope your labour goes smoothly!

Grin Fantastic. I 100% thought you were talking about pubes. I was wondering why it was only the back garden you were wanting to trim though.

Haha I clicked on this thinking it was going to be about pubes too!

GampyWabbit · 24/08/2013 16:25

haa haa!! Well I used hedgetrimmer with no problems during very late pregnancy, but it probably isn't the best idea... can someone else do it for you?
