Oh no. Hope you start to feel better soon.

I'm sure someone more knowledgable will turn up soon with some good advice. I didn't want to read and run.

Eating little and often, and sticking to "beige" food appears to be most people's coping techniques.

Oh no! I remember this ... To be honest I'm 39+6 and still throw up everyday but its so much better and easier to manage now. I'm sure yours will pass in a few weeks.
Best advice I had was from my doctor, drink lemonade not water as its better for your tummy. Hadn't kept anything down for days up to that point. He and my midwife also basically told me to forget about nutritional value whilst I was feeling really ill and to eat as much as I could of whatever I fancied. Everyone has their cures to share I'm sure. I found peanuts, lemonade lollies and marshmallows to be the best for me. Hope you feel better soon Smile

Hi! Sorry you feel so awful.

There are quite a few of us on the hyperemesis thread who are no strangers to what you describe.

Come and check out our thread and also the pregnancysickness.org website for advice.

Also sounds like you might have to have some time off work.

Overall advice would be to do your best to stay hydrated and also see if you can find some 'safe' foods that stay down. It doesn't matter what it or they are...crisps is a common one! Mine is crackers with marmite. I have three every hour and a half.

See your doctor. You can get signed off (sounds like its dangerous to drive) and he can also offer you meds and keep an eye on your fluid and ketones levels. (You can buy Keestix from your local pharmacy and keep track of ketones yourself).

Sorry if its a bit of a ramble!

Oh and lemonade is the only fluid I can manage too.

Complain away!! It's the worst feeling ever!
Seeing your doctor is great advice. I was signed off for 2 weeks which was great for rest. Of course, without eating you have no energy! I could then have had further time off but I was lucky in that my boss told me he was happy for me to do whatever hours i could.
You will find a food that works and I'm sure the awfulness will pass. Good luck :)
