I'm 8+4 weeks pg, but the last couple of days or so I have had a niggling back ache. It seems to be worse when I'm resting, and I cannot get comfortable Hmm surely it's a bit early to get back pain? Any suggestions with how to relieve it?

I think this is common because of the rush of hormones at the start but it goes again, treat it like any back ache, move around, check how your sitting/sleeping, and try not to slouch too much.
You could sleep with a hot water bottle (wheat bag) if its disrubting your sleep.

Strangely it's giving me more grief during the day. I can't get comfortable laying or sitting but I have no energy to want to do anything Hmm vicious circle!

I've got sacro-iliac dysfunction and it started at 9 weeks Confused

Where is the back ache? There is no chance you are brewing a kidney infection is there? That sort of thing is a bit more likely when you are pregnant.

Congratulations on your pregnancy though. Smile

It's really low in my back and just the tops of my bum cheeks and into my hips. I hope not! Hmm I haven't needed to wee more than normal and it's not stinging

Its the ligaments in the sacro iliac joint softening due to hormones. It was the first symptom I noticed in each of my pregnancies even though I only carried one to full term successfully. I had problems throughout and for some time after. Its most painful when you try to stand up after sitting for a while on a hard seat.
Still worth just having a sample of your wee checked for infection to rule it out though.

Ill see how I go regarding a water infection. It seems to ease off after a while but my sickness is making me want to lay or sit down Hmm
