No real helpful advice I'm afraid, but I am having this as well - 34+5 and for the last few weeks I have had 3 or 4 episodes of very painful braxton hicks with backache - it's been when I have walked a lot and goes off when I've rested.

Think you are supposed to rest, drink lots of water, maybe have a bath, and if they go off its braxton hicks, if not call maternity ward if you are still worried. I think I am just unlucky and my braxton hicks aren't painless Sad.

neither are mine but don't feel like contraction pain but could be if they carry on much longer I am glad that I am not the only one I get them when sitting driving walking and this morning laying in bed will just keep a eye on it and ring midwife if necessary!!!!

Fingers crossed for you that it's just your body practicing and you bake that little one for a good few more weeks yet x

They are talking about inducing me at 37 weeks as he is rather large so 5 more weeks at least would be good thank you for your reply and hope all goes well for you xx

Pre 37 weeks I think you are supposed to call if you have four Braxton hicks in an hour.

My midwife told me they shouldn't hurt - and backache is another cause for concern. I think you should call your midwife for a chat.

It could be a UTI, or it could be nothing, but I think this is one of the things you need to check!

Also, perfect excuse to take things a bit easier.
