So, iv had a headache for last couple of days that hasn't gone even with cocodamol so I decided to get myself checked out doctors did blood pressure which was 150/85 then as it was high waited 5 mins and re did it, again it was same result. He said iv to go back tomorrow and do urine/blood pressure again. I don't suffer from hbp previously and im only 19+6 weeks. Has anyone else been through similar Iv been daft n googled and it brings up preeclampsia has any one had high blood pressure and it not been preeclampsia?

Well done on getting yourself checked out, it's good that you're getting checked again tomorrow.

I had a high BP at around 17 weeks, it was checked again a few days later and was still high. My wee was all clear. A fell ill a few days after that with vomiting & diarrhoea, had a few days off work on complete rest, and a week later my BP was back to normal. I'm 26 weeks now and my BP has been normal every time it's checked now.

I had googled and worried myself too, don't really know why it had been up, might have been a bug brewing or just work stress (there's always work stress where I work) but wanted to tell you my recent experience and that all came good again Smile

I don't get why he didn't check my urine strait away, but I didn't think to ask at the time. Iv already got 4 dc and never had anything like this. Hopefully it will just be. Bug or something. Smile

Hi
I have had pre eclampsia before with my first and then high bp (on its own, not pre e) on my second. My high BP wasn't classed as high until the bottom number went over 90 though.
