Mamas and Papas (sorry, it's long)

I know this is pretty trivial in the grand scheme of things but I'm mid-fight with Mamas and Papas. We ordered the Ocean cot/dresser and wardrobe from them a few weeks ago. The day they were due to deliver, nobody showed up and we finally got through to someone that evening who said the van had broken down. Fair enough, but I was annoyed that nobody phoned.

It was delivered a few days later but one of the boxes was wrong. We arranged redelivery for today and once again, nobody showed. I phoned and they said it was supposed to be NEXT Thursday, and they couldn't change the date. So, I'm pretty angry that I'm going to have to spend a fourth day waiting in for tr delivery.

Has anyone else had any experience of Mamas and Papas customer service? Good or bad? I'm kind of tempted to package everything up and get a refund, but I think that's the 37-week pregnant lady talking!

We ordered a cotbed and a changing table from them. Both were missing parts needed for assembly, very annoying, but a quick phone call later and the parts we needed were shipped to us (arrived about 3 days after phone call).

We had to send our Urbo pushchair back twice for problems with the wheels, but there was no fuss, 2nd time it was nearly 2 years old and they put new wheels on for us. Probably wouldn't buy another M&P pushchair, but can't complain about the customer service.

Ok, we'll that's good to know! We're supposed to be getting another email from customer service tomorrow, so hopefully it should all get sorted. Thanks for the replies!

M&P customer service notoriously awful. Do a search for old threads in here. I'd cancel the order personally and go to John Lewis instead.

An order that was meant to take 10 working days took a MONTH to deliver, this was after I called to complain twice. Their original delivery day was 7 weeks after the order date, it was of course not relayed to me.

I wouldn't use them for anything at all.

M&P customer service is dreadful. Everytime I've encountered them its been hard work. Not convinced its great quality either and it should be for the £££ they charge. I did read once that the call centre is only manned by a handful of people so you can never get through.

Have to agree with above. Their customer service is awful! My Mum ordered a few bits as a surprise for me and had so many arguments, missed deliveries etc. Stand your ground and complain if neccessary. My Mum kicked up a fuss despite her only ordering a few small bits (no furniture) and managed to get some money off I think. Smile

I ordered nearly everything from there and found the service to be great and the furniture (also ocean) to be second to none x
