Hi everyone...I hope you can help.
I am 41 and was having problems with my hormones (extra bleeding and blood clots) so the doctor put me on Cerazette. I was on it for about 6 weeks and bleed so much, it felt like I was bleeding every two weeks for 10 days. I wasn't great at taking it the same time of day either and I did miss one a couple of times. I then started feeling depressed so I stopped taking it.
The very next day after I stopped it, I felt ovulation pains. I always get this (but didnt while taking the pop) and its usually mid cycle. I assumed I had started ovulating straight away, is that possible after coming off the pop?
Its now been just over three weeks and still no period though (I'm sorry I don't know all the abbreviations lol). My breasts are very tender and I'm getting mild cramps. It feels like I might come on, but nothing yet.
I have been having unprotected sex with my partner throughout this time, so I thought I would do a test, it came up negative. I would think it highly unlikely for me to fall pregnant due to my age, but I wouldn't mind if I was.
I have read that coming off Cerazette can give you pregnancy symptoms, so I just wondered what experiences other women have had with this?
Do you think it could be the pill that is causing the symptoms? Even though I ovulated?
