I think my friend had something similar and had some tests done. You can have funny allergic reactions during pregnancy.

Can you call the midwife for advice?

Funny you have just posted this.

I am 25 weeks and have suddenly become incredibly itchy, particularly my tummy near the linea nigra. Also feel itchy on my back and thighs!! Arghhhh

I think it is important to get excessive itching in pregnancy checked quickly. My friend had something called obstetric cholestasis, which needs ruling out.

Anything I think i.might phone in the morning. Its weird. If it was normal I don't think I'd notice it so.much!!

Sleepathon, i've had an itchy tummy but I put that down to. Stretchy skin. It's very.annoying though!

Yes I had obstetric cholestasis (now called ICP - if you google ICP support you'll find lots of info). Mine came on at about 30 weeks with lots of itching especially at night. It can be serious if not managed properly so worth ringing your hospital / day assessment unit who can arrange some blood tests to check if you have it.

Hi
I'm 39 weeks and for the past two days have had excessive itchy on my hands and feet. I've had urgent blood tests done today at my GP at the advice of the MAU as itching can be a sign of obstetric cholestasis. No harm in finding out. In the meantime my GP has recommended using E45
