Hi all

Have had a couple of days this week where I have felt like I can barely keep my eyes open. Feel shattered even though I have hardly done anything (not at work this week). Also have a bit of sinus pain/pressure as if I am coming down with something but have had this for a few days and no sign of it developing into a cold or anything.

I have just found out I am slightly anaemic (literally 0.1 below the threshold) so am suspecting this but is there anything else that could be causing this? Just can't see how the teensiest bit of anaemia could have such a marked effect?!

How are you sleeping? I'm 32 weeks and really tired too, just because I have horrendous heartburn and can't sleep because of it, and I've had an awful tickly cough for the past week too Sad

How are you sleeping - sounds silly but maybe your getting to the size to be uncomfy in bed so tossing and turning more than before with out really realising.

I'm outside the UK, but here they test your iron levels twice each time and mine can be as much as 8points apart (110 is the lower limit here), so you may be more than 0.1 below really. I'd take a multi vit in case that is the reason.

Also I think low blood pressure makes soem people tired - did the MW check that at your last appointment?

Smerlin · 21/08/2013 18:26

Blood pressure was 98/66- is that especially low?

My iron was 109 if measuring it in 100s so 1 point under the limit. Dr gave me iron tablets which made me really ill so while waiting to see her again to change prescription I am back on the Pregnacare in the meantime and having lots of beef!

Sleep is odd- I'm probably sleeping 11pm-2am, then staring at the ceiling for a while before sleeping probably 3am-6am, wake up when DH goes to work and then maybe sleep another hour or two. So enough sleep in total but all interrupted due to needing a wee and having to heft the huge bump every time I want to change position!

Just was worried that being so tired when doing nothing could maybe be a sign of something serious (baby is happily bouncing tho!)

Hi, have you tried floradix? It is a liquid iron supplement, much nicer than the tablets. You can get it from Holland and barrett and places like that.
I am 34 weeks and really tired too, not sleeping well which is half the problem also looking after a cheeky 2 year old all day doesn't help.
At least we are not at work!
