Section on Friday - toddler ill

I'm booked in for a c section on Friday and today my toddler has had a temperature of 38.4 and diarrhoea. Otherwise well in himself.

Should I be worried about passing something on to the baby when it's born?

Come to that is my baby generally at risk from all the nasties my DS brings home from nursery?

Are you planning to BF? If so I'd imagine you will be exposed and develop antibodies to pass on right away. I don't know for sure though!

I don't know if you catching it would be more of a problem for the section though?

Thanks Jenni, I was thinking the bf antibodies should protect it. DS seems better today thank goodnessSmile
