Hey all, I'm eleven weeks today, has anyone else experienced this? I have always been active but over the last few days any walking leaves me with black and white flashing dots infront of my eyes, today they are there constantly, got my blood pressure checked yesterday and it was fine, feel really silly going to my gp again as i think they think im a real hypochondriac but i feel rough and cant work because of the dots...anyone know any way to help them go?

Are you prone to migraine?

ovenbun · 21/08/2013 10:24

I've never had migraines before...and am coping with lights...but that's definitely worth a thought :)

I've had some strange migraines during pregnancy including flashing lights and numb hands but no headache. You should get it ruled out though - have you spoken with your midwife?

I have spoken to them yesterday and they said get checked out by the gp but my gp only had a practise nurse appointment so I went and got my bp checked which was fine...im wondering about uti's as well so will take some wee...argh I was so pleased to be coping ok with the sickness and tiredness and now I feel such a wimp...

I suffer really badly with migraines and always have. However since being pregnant they have changed and I now get different types as well.
It really does sound like migraine and I was told that even people that don't normally suffer can do when they are pregnant xx

I have something like this but I'd say its more like glitter darting infront of you.. I don't know what it is though I get it when I feel dizzy x

Thanks for the advice and suggestions, mine turned out to be a weird symptom of a UTI, i have some antibiotics so hopefully it will go soon :)
