Maternity Jeans

I never got on with maternity jeans in my last pregnant. They were both from JoJo and both pairs were useless.

One over the bump that I was forever hoiking up until I put holes through the stretchy bit. One under the bump that literally just fell down on me.

I ended up living in leggings and dresses. Anyone have any decent maternity jeans??

H&M

CakesAreNotTheAnswer · 21/08/2013 08:25

I second H&M. loved my over bump jeans from there

juicyjuice · 21/08/2013 08:27

A third for h and m- over bump, not too baggy so fit a small bump (or in my case the evidence of too many bags of crisps).

Living in two pairs of gap always skinny. Under the bump and don't fall down. Quite big overall though - try a size down.

islingtongirl · 21/08/2013 08:36

I've been living in my topshop maternity jeans!

Smoolett · 21/08/2013 08:43

Try new look, I got 2 pairs last week for £5 each on their online sale. I wore a pair on Monday and they felt OK, quite comfy.

LittlePeaPod · 21/08/2013 09:07

I got the grey and two blue under the bump. They are really comfortable they look fab on. They are well made so fit your bump, bum and legs nicely and the material is really cosy.. I would highly recommend them..

I, too, never had maternity jeans in my last pregnancy but this time I've got the Next ones and they are just so comfy and perfect. Don't fall down on my tiny 20 week bump but have loads of stretch left.

H&M jeans are fab. Flattering and very comfy. Had jeans from Seraphine last time which were under the belly and I had to tie a scarf around them to make sure they didn't fall down.

I love my H&M maternity jeans! They are just perfect.

I got a couple of pairs of the New Look underbump ones and they've been great. Started wearing them as soon as I was starting to show, and still wearing them now at 40+4. They're really comfy and still look like 'normal' jeans.

TWavre · 21/08/2013 10:27

I've got some blooming marvellous over the bump ones from Mothercare, £30 & they are the most comfy things I own apart from pjs. I'm planning on using them for Christmas meals once the baby is born!

EarthMither · 21/08/2013 10:29

I've been pleased with my Mamas and Papas underbump straight cut jeans - they seem to be sized slightly on the large size, but they're really comfy and quite smart looking.

PurplePoppySeed · 21/08/2013 12:48

My Jojo shorts have been my best friend this summer, maybe they are ok because there isnt any weight to drag them down?

Earlier in the pregnancy I swore by new look under bump jeans, but theyve got worse and worse as bump got bigger... I'm stuck back in yoga trousers and leggings now :(

TotallyEggFlipped · 21/08/2013 12:50

H&M definitely.

Wickedgirl · 21/08/2013 13:13

In early pregnancy my new look over the bump ones were fantastic. At 33 weeks I can't even get them over my thighs though. Grrrr
They were very comfy though so if you don't mind only wearing them for a short amount of time, I'd recommend them.

karinmaria · 21/08/2013 13:16

I had a pair of Topshop Leigh maternity jeans and an ASOS own brand pair for my pregnancy. Both good and minimal pulling up/falling down. The Topshop ones are about £40 and ASOS have maternity jeans in the sale at the moment.

PastaBeeandCheese · 21/08/2013 13:37

Thanks very much for the recommendations! I'm going to order H&M ones and if they don't fit treat myself to the Seraphine ones.

I have been really disappointed with the two pairs of maternity jeans I got from Red Herring at Debenhams, one under the bump pair, and one over the bump. At 34 weeks the band still doesn't stay up! I am mostly living in the black maternity trousers I got for work which have fitted like a glove.

PastaBeeandCheese · 21/08/2013 18:36

elle I worry I'm just not a maternity jeans person..... As I say I never cracked them last time at any stage in my pregnancy. I had a pair of black work trousers that I called my 'Santa trousers' that were ace. That and dresses over leggings were my friends.

I'm another one for the blooming marvellous ones. Mine were £20 each and so comfy. They are under bump ones. They've washed really well too. For some reason I really don't fancy over bump ones. I wasn't keen on the H&M when I tried them.

BelleEtLaBaby · 21/08/2013 18:50

I've lived in a pair of primark super soft skinny jeans which are under bump maternity ones. I only like really thin, soft denim though - but I've loved those and they were less than a tenner :)

lolalotta · 21/08/2013 18:55

I second the Top Shop Leigh jeans, absolutely fabulous and not once have I needed to pull them up...look great too. I have worn mine to death this pregnancy, only a week up go now! Grin
If baby's not late that is... Confused

Sleepthief · 21/08/2013 19:01

H&M delivery is, quite frankly, shit.
