i'm 37 weeks tomorrow and yesterday i went to the toilet and noticed a tiny spot of blood in my pants. then about an hour later i went to the toilet again and there was all this stringy, thicky, lumpy discharge type stuff in my pants. could this be my show or not? when i had this discharge stuff before the MW said it was just congealed, but i have never had any blood before. thing is the blood came before the other stuff so i don't know and it really was only a drop. what do you all think? i hope this makes sense!!

Hi there, this is the first time I've posted so I hope this is ok. I would just advise you to get this checked out to rule out placenta praevia or placenta abruptio (placenta separating early from the uterus). I bled in labour but as it was my first pregnancy I just thought it was a show. When I called the hospital after 24 hours they asked me to come straight in and when the consultant examined me internally it was clear I had been bleeding more than I thought. Both DS and I were fine but I would advise you get it checked out. Hope it all goes well for you.
