Brown spotting - IM or AF????

Me and my partner have been ttc for 6 months and this month I have had a scanty brown discharge for one week now which is 8 days before AF is due this Wednesday. (This is not normal for me) Had lots of period like cramps and kept thinking it was AF come early but still nothing and now cramps have stopped but still having slight brown discharge and am due in 2 days and nothing so far. Have done 2 PTs and all BFN. Has anyone experienced this and know if this sounds like IB and too early to show on HPT? Hoping it is and getting really stressed waiting for Wednesday. Can anyone help?

I am having exactly the same symptoms! Not due on until Wednesday but having brownish discharge and crampy pain. It's not normal for me either, when AF arrives she arrives with full force usually! I too hope it's IB but all we can do is wait and see. Good luck.

Good Luck LittleMissPear! I think its to early to get a BFP (thats what Im telling myself anyway), am going to docs tomorrow regardless as this is not normal for me. I normally get spotting a couple of days before AF which gets heavier then BOOM! AF heavens open and cramps (TMI) but its like it has disappeared today. Roll on Wednesday and may it be IM for us both! Keep me posted!

Jules CB aren't good for early testing - get something with pink dye. First response if you want branded, or I used a 2 pack pink dye test that was £1 in Home Bargains and got positive at 3+4 so a good few days before AF. Good luck!

Hi rockchick thanks for the advice. It was gutting this morning getting BFN. I did try first response on Sunday morning and got BFN from that. Maybe too early? I'm just gonna have to wait. I have mild cramps coming and going in lower abdomen, waves of nausea, weird brown spotting on and off for like 9 days now and been napping during day. Something is different and so I haven't lost hope just yet but have to wait even longer What were the name of the cheap PT's you got that gave you a BFP? Thanks

Can't remember, they were in a pink box and were the only ones in the shop that had 2 tests in plastic rather than just the paper dip stick types. Sorry, am 12 weeks now so baby brain has kicked in

I've got diarrhoea as well so in thinking maybe that's what's causing my queasy feeling and stomach cramps and AF will arrive in full force today or tomorrow. Sigh

Hi juleslynn, BFN for me this morning too I was gutted too. But AF hasn't arrived either and not much sign of her. The spotting has gone too so I suppose I'll keep testing for the next few days. It's nice to know its not just me that's like this!

Sorry to hear you got a BFN too this am. It's not over til AF arrives right? I've had some cramping and some drops of red blood today so I've lost hope despite DP sending me articles from google of it being normal to get some bleeding during first trimester. He's clinging onto dear hope bless him. I'm not reaching for the tampons yet so he might be right yes???
