Too good to be true?

Hi, I'm just wondering if any other parent has had or has the same feelings as I do,

I had a m/c on the 17th of April 2013
And I have just found out today that I am pregnant again, I am so happy but scare to death of the thought of loseing this child aswell,
I have a scan on Friday to make sure everything is going how it should be, but I'm so scared of there answer!

Is this too good to be true? Has anyone had a m/c then went on to have a healthy pregnancy?

Thanks

Op. I had a mc early on this year and we were devastated. It stills hurts thinking about our loss. I found out I was pregnant again in May and I was really delighted but frightened that I would mc again. It's totally natural to worry after a mc and although it gets easier/better as the weeks progress it doesn't fully stop. I am now 20+4 and I still worry even though I can now feel our daughter wiggling about. One of the consequences of a mc is that it takes away that innocence which allows you to never consider how fragile a pregnancy can be. Once you have suffered a mc you always worry it may happen again. But take comfort Op its very unusual to have 2 mc in a row. I also went for early reassurance scans starting at 5+4 when we saw the heart beat. It really helped but never took all the fear away. How many weeks are you?

Congratulations on your BFP Flowers

Yes and congratulations. I had a MMC a few years ago and was pregnant six weeks later with my now DS. It's a worrying time and I stressed through my whole pregnancy, as I am with this one.

I think once you have experienced a MC the thought is never far from your mind so you just take each day as it comes. Keeping fingers crossed for you. I have my first scan on weds.

I've had two MC prior to this pregnancy and have worried constantly throughout, especially at those points when i had the previous MC's. As time goes on you start to feel a bit more confident with the pregnancy, believing that it's real etc.

I used to (and still do now) just concentrate on getting to the end of each day without anything happening. Don't think about the long term issues just yet, just make it to the next day or next appointment etc. That's how i've dealt with it.

And...Congratulations!

I have had two mc's before this pregnancy and even at 26 weeks I still worry now. I think it is inbuilt once you have gone through the pain of losing a baby.
But try and focus on the good things and just take it little steps at a time.
Congrats xxx

I had a MC at 6 weeks on valentines day and that day is officially considered the 'first' day of this pregnancy, no period in between.

I'm now 27w pregnant with a little boy. Some stories do have a happy ending :-). Xx

I had a mc in December at 12 weeks. Currently 32 weeks and all is well - I also felt that this was too good to be true. Good luck xx

Thank you. I am trying to be excited but I'm so scared to get my hopes up, I have a 3yr old who has just started nursery so it's been stressful but I'm worried case I get too stressed incase I have another m/c I want to just get on with things but I'm scared. I can not wait for Friday to come as I hope she will be able to tell me if its going ok or not...I hope it's going great! I'd love a little brother or sister for my wee one xxx
