What do I wear to wedding?!

I have been invited to a colleague's wedding as an evening guest. I will be 20 weeks by then. I am currently only 13 weeks and still in my regular clothes so don't have a clue about maternity wear. I don't want to spend a lot since I'm only going to be there for a few hours and may never wear the dress again. Do I even need maternity clothes at 20 weeks or would an empire line maxi dress do the trick? That way at least I might get to wear it again. I am usually a size 8/10 and have just started showing a little bit in some clothes. Any suggestions?

Forgot to mention it's a roaring 20's themed wedding!

I am going to a wedding at 29 weeks and another at 36 weeks and I am wearing the same dress for both. I just bought a plain black wrap around dress that I am putting a nice brooch on and wearing some jewellery to dress it up a bit.
New look have some lovely maternity dresses at the moment and a lot are in the sale. I bought mine in America at a shop called Motherhood but they have a website that you can order and get delivered to the uk and the maternity stuff is half the price u would pay here.
Although at 20 weeks you may just get away with a bigger sized dress as I was still wearing my normal ones at that stage xx

As an evening only guest, do you feel obliged/want to follow the theme?
If so, yes, you'd probably get away with an empire line long dress at 20w. Maybe not as fitted as you might have considered if you weren't pg, maybe a size or two larger than normal.
Can you hire?

Or you could look at something like these?
