What sort of weight is it likely to be at birth?
This is dd3, dd1 was 8lb4oz @ 40+1 dd2 was 10lb3oz at 40+11...
I'm really hoping it isn't any bigger than dd2!

Check the chart on your maternity notes... your measurements so far should be plotted on there and if you follow the curve up to 40 weeks you will get an idea - very early to tell though as baby's growth could speed up or slow down, and it also depends whether you're early/late etc

There's a huge margin of error and for that reason my trust won't usually give estimated weights now.

I had a growth scan at 31 weeks exactly and as I'd asked for an estimated weight at my 28 week scan, which was 3lb 4, I asked again what the estimated weight was. The sonographer very reluctantly told me 6lb 3oz, which would mean baby had gained 1lb a week for 3 weeks. However, I just don't believe the baby is that big...

But yes, you can follow the centile chart to get an idea of birthweight, if you have one for birthweight in your notes. Mine doesn't have, they've just plotted the measurements on there.
