Unfortunately I had morning sickness until the week I gave birth (34 weeks). The good news it is not the same awful nausea as in the first 16 or so weeks.

I hope you start to feel better soon :)

It will end. May take until you give birth tho..... Wink

I am so glad you posted this. I thought I was the only one! 16 weeks today and still sick as a dog every single day. The joys of motherhood :)

Don't really have any advice to offer either, sorry :( all the usual tricks didn't work for me - ginger, etc.

Hope it passes for you soon I know how awful it is. Also I'm with you on still feeling exhausted. Where's our second trimester energy boost?!

mine has just started to improve this week at 18wks after resigning myself to having 9 months of it. its not gone completely but is a lot better so there is hope.

I had it til 29 weeks first time round. Hideous. I took early mat leave and it stopped. Instant bliss. Nowt you can do but cross your fingers I think. Avoiding early mornings and rushing seemed to help me, as well as constant snacking, but I'm sure everyone has different coping strategies

polkadots I find that on my days off I don't suffer as badly - it's the days I'm moving around lots like at work!

Hi, thanks for messages..keeping everything crossed that it goes away soon! I agree about not working..feel bit better on days off and weekends. Blooming doctor and midwife just keep telling me to eat ginger biscuits..yuk!

Mine went at around 20 weeks, I found lots of rest and constant eating helped.

Sympathies. Rest as much as you can. I was ill until DD was born, but less ill after 17 weeks ish.

The minute DD was born, the very second she slipped out I felt amazing, she was cute, but being able to eat, not feeling sick, getting my body back a-maz-ing.

I found that chewy indigestion tablets helped with keeping food down.

This is my 3rd pregnancy, with my 1st two I was vomiting until 16weeks after then it tailed off, with this pregnancy I've not been sick once and I put that down to a change in diet, I no longer eat dairy and think that that's what was making me so ill before. Worth a try maybe?

Mine continued until the start of the third trimester. Had a fab late pregnancy though.

I'm going to be 19 weeks on Monday and still feeling as sick and tired as ever. If anything it seems to have got worse as in the past few weeks I have at least been swimming and quite active at times but now even just walking to the end of the road is exhausting. I've been signed off work for two weeks but am really bored and would love to have the energy to be able to do things. Really hoping it's not going to last the whole 9 months!

CuppaSarah · 17/08/2013 13:21

I had mine till about 30 weeks. But it got so much easier around 17 weeks. I got into a puke routine. 6.27am puke, lunch time nausea, then a mid-dinner puke. I felt great the second after I'd puke each time. Just keep in mind, if you feel nice and sick, your hormone levels are nice and high and that bubba's in there doing it's thing.
