So, I just randomly woke up this morning at 4am and decided to deep-clean the house from top to bottom. Only half way through and haven't lost momentum! Wish I was like this year round Grin

Oh, and I meant how far along you were/are, not what time of day you started nesting. I'm 31 weeks. Silly baby brain.

I had a massive burst around 30-35 weeks but now given up.. too tired. But I have the heavy work done- it is just light housework left now.
I decluttered everything, washed curtains, organised cupboards, sent black bag upon black bag to charity.
I even stripped varnish off skirting boards - need to give a light gloss (tomorrow).
I have over 30 dinners in the freezer.
I am baking today but that is it.

I'm still waiting, and DS is 7 mo!

Lol doodle! I had a bout of cleaning at 2am at about 34 weeks. Now 36+6 and desperate to get cleaning again but we have messy building work going on so I'm making myself resist until its all over. I have been tidying though, to the point that the living room is starting to look bare!! To compensate for not being able to clean, I have been stocking up the cupboards like there's a nuclear holocaust expected! I also had an overwhelming urge to put together a first aid kit- could this be a form of nesting?! Strange times! Batch cooking begins next week!

I think my nesting is starting. I'm 31 weeks and really stressed that our downstairs flooring is half up and half down and that the bathroom won't be replaced for another month.

We've done so much to the house this year (mostly superficial/decorating) but I cannot wait to finish work so I can clean out my cupboards and wash the baby clothes!

There's a real, almost primordial urge for everything to be ready.

Mines kicked in already at 24 weeks. But im moving house soon so no point doing anything big in the house!!!! Its driving me craaazzzy I just wanna move and get the new place spick and span for lil one!!! I have dreams about an un-ready house some nights and wake up biting my nails haha!!

riskit4abiskit · 15/08/2013 18:43

im 35 weeks and really want to be nesting as I hate housework usually, but nope, no sign!

Never had it. We had building work done on the house when I was of with DS, but it was planned anyway, and I found it bloody annoying.

My mum rang me up when I was pg first time round to berate me for not cleaning out my kitchen cupboards or bleaching my windowsills. I just laughed and told her I wasn't planning on putting the baby in the kitchen cupboard Grin

I got it!!!
It's been there almost all my pregnancy. I so can't stand any mess at the moment. I've had a few arguments about it with my partner.

I can smile about it as I know it's my hormones. But when I see toys all over the floor or washing up being left behind in the kitchen.
Or other things. I just can't help it that that makes me go nuts.

My partner understands it, but also says it's difficult for him.
Unfortunately for him he says that on the moment when I go nuts and then turn to furious.

Because how can he have a difficult time??? I'm the one being pregnant. What's his problem???
(a partner who's pregnant and very hormonal ;)

Only a couple of days ago I was shouting at him outside the house when he was in the garden. Now I just feel SOOOOOOOO ASHAMED of the shouting and what I said to him.

Also what must my neighbors now think of me and us.

I feel like an idiot, but when I see mess in the house.... I someone can't think straight anymore.
Hormones! They can make you do funny things.

It's kicked in...39 weeks and too big to do much. Now just really obsessed about what hasn't been done! My advice is to do it all far sooner than me Smile
