Asda Moses Basket

Okay... So the Moses basket I've got my eye on in mothercare is £90.... However I saw that they sell moses baskets in asda for roughly £26!
As we are on a bit of a budget (who isn't) - I'm wondering whether the asda one is any good and if anyone can vouch for it at all?

John Lewis sell them for similar too. Same thing. Go for cheap!

I got the asda one in the baby and toddler event basket + stand was £35 haven't used for bubs yet as not yet arrived but it is waiting patiently! The seem very sturdy and just as good a quality as M & P, Mothercare etc
The only issues I see is the quilt is very small but I will just be using blankets/swaddling anyway so won't be using it. Also stand is very low down compared to others but will only be using it of a night next to me in bed so again shouldn't be an issue.

OP thank you for this post - i was wondering the same thing. would love to hear any reviews as well as I'm thinking it seems fine but is it cheap for a reason.

We bought a cheap basket for our first baby. Just check how comfortable the mattress looks as our little girl wouldn't sleep on it. It was thin and completely waterproof so not soft and it was very crinkly. Just got it out again for 2nd baby and have bought a great mattress for it. Looks really comfy now. I guess buying the cheap basket and getting a new mattress is still cheaper than £90 from mothercare!

We bought the asda Moses basket and it's really nice. Again not used yet as ds not born but I'm pleased with it. They have an almost identical one in Argos much more expensive.

We was going to buy an expensive one from mothercare but we decided we was being daft paying so much money for so little time, so we headed to babies r us and we found a great one for £35! It's beautiful lots of people have commented on it and dd isn't even here yet. I'm really glad we didn't spend lots as this one is great for a fraction of the cost

i dont think theirs any diffrence in quality of asda moses basket tbh i choose a mothercare moses basket but that was mainly because i had picked a certain them so it matches the nursery mine was £54 and i bought the luxury moses basket stand for £27.99 i did get a discount though as i bought quite a bit and got 15% off i also use discount codes when offors arent on anyway back to your question id say go for it if your happy :)

I was going to get the Asda one for my son (several years ago now so it might have changed) and thought it was lovely but then I went to a Mamas and Papas outlet and found one for £40 (original price £99!!!) It was brand new, just a discontinued line so sent to the outlet. There were about 6 different styles to choose from and I got a gorgeous rocking stand for £14 (originally £45) as well. I could never afford mamas and papas prices without getting the odd bargain at the outlet so might be worth checking if there is one near u, the one I use is in Huddersfield.

Any chance you could borrow one OP? We have all new stuff but actually borrowed a moses and bought a new mattress/bedding. Got a good tip to use pillow cases as sheets.
It is just that not all babies like the moses.
I would defo go for the ASDA one though if no option to borrow and put more money to something longer term.
