I think I am the Hungry Caterpillar

I am so hungry!

I'm 32 weeks tomorrow and today I am supremely hungry. So far I've had (and its only mid-morning):

cereal,
a banana,
a packet of M&S chocolate mini bites,
an apple,
two large glasses of water
and a cup of tea.

And I still feel starving. Anyone else turned into a bottomless pit?

bottomless pit as long as the food isn't an actual meal.

Most of the pregnancy I have been able to eat infinite amounts of cereal. It's slowing down now (39 weeks) but that's only because the actual hassle of moving myself to get food is on a par with wanting the food.

Yesterday though I still had cereal, an apple, square crisps, a toastie, made a cake, ate a slice. Had another slice of cake. a banana, Pasta and salad for dinner, a penguin, another glass of cake. And that's not including all the beverages.

I agree, big meals are now out. But if I can eat slowly and steadily there's no stopping me.

24w and staaaaarving, I want fruit and carbs all the time. I'm seriously considering living off banana sandwiches for the foreseeable future. Oh and cheese, never liked it much before but now I'm going through a block a week, guess I must need the calcium.

I don't think that is a lot of food at all!

I've had a bacon roll, a cup of tea, & 2 digestives. Twill be having a baked potato & beans shortly too Grin

mumoftwoboysS · 14/08/2013 14:26

that sounds quite reasonable to me kd83!

I'm hungry most of the time! I find myself grazing all day plus the usual meals. Talking about food, I had soup and bread for lunch an hour ago and now feel like I could have a 2nd lunch!!

I say eat if you're hungry, your body/baby must need it Smile

Oh, I'm definitely not complaining. I love that I can get away with eating so much. Its just a surprise to feel so ravenous all the time.

I've just eaten some of the snacks set aside for my hospital bag...

Today I've had cereal, 2 peaches, 2 apples, a banana, a roasted veg and mozzarella roll, a cheese salad roll, a scone, a couple of biccies and three chocolates (quality street size). Also 24 weeks, and feeling like I am eating for 24, although I'm assured there is only one person having temporary residence within me....

Me too, and it's an unfamiliar feeling - it wasn't like this with my first!

I'm only 8 weeks and feel hungry 2 hours after a meal. This morning I had to have an apple and two mini carrots mid morning as was starving again despite a good breakfast.

Then I find that when I sit to eat a meal I fill up quickly :/ Random!
