Contractions start stopping for 2 nights, advise or reassurance please !

Am 41 + 1, had sweep on Monday afternoon, contractions started Monday evening (great) , not so ! got to 5mins apart and lasting 60 sec, got all excited called the hospital and was told to have bath and call back. Contractions stopped at 6am. Nothing else till 5pm Tuesday night and went through the whole thing again almost identical, got to regular 6 mins apart and stopped again at 4am this morning! So frustrating , anyone had similar ?

I had this Sunday night, six minutes apart, nothing since. Very frustrating!
This was after having sex though, so debating whether I should give it another go or if it will just bring on another false alarm!

I had it for about a week when I was pregnant with DD2. It's very frustrating but on the bright side, things are happening! Good luck, hope your baby is here soon!

Apparently the longer the warm up phase goes on the shorter your established labour is... whether this is true or not I don't care, it's what I'm clinging to!

Yy, that was the case for me! Well, it was still about 11 hours (ish) but very easy labour, iykwim. :)

2nd baby had a stop start labour starting every second night for a week, lasting about 2 hours, then stopping. When she came, it was six hours of chatting over tea and sandwich type non-pain contractions, then 90 minutes heaving a bit, then out she came. Lovely.

Sounds good to me, she gave me the night off last night, but is starting again tonight!

Hi , no news other than had it for 4 nights now!! :) am slowly losing my marbles!!! Last night was the worst lasted over 7 hours!! Every 10 mins!! Have eaten 2 cakes today also which is my way of coping :D
