Rhesus negative, tested positive for Anti-D antibodies

Hi,
I had my 12 week scan and booking in appointment today, and while the scan was fine, the blood work showed that I have anti-d antibodies. This is my second pregnancy and my son is rh positive, but I had all the anti-d injections last time and so not sure why I have the antibodies.
The midwife said she didn't know enough to discuss it with me and I have to wait for the foetal medicine unit to call. I've googled around but just wondered if anyone else has experienced this? I'd be very grateful for any information/advice if so.
Thanks.

Hi,
I have CW antibodies. They don't know why as I've never been pregnant or had a blood transfusion before. Next step is getting my husband tested to find out what blood type baby is. have been told it's unlikely to affect this pregnancy but may affect later ones. Will let you know when I learn more. Good luck.

Thanks - good luck to you too.

Hi AJH and ch - I just found out this week (30 weeks) that antibodies showed up In my 28 week bloods, though they didn't in my booking bloods.
I had to take dh in to the hospital this morning for more blood tests, which will take about a week. Depending on those results, either I'll keep having fortnightly blood tests or maybe a scan to check how the baby is.
I've scare myself looking online about rhesus disease, but to be honest the medics don't seem that bothered - they must have had my 28 week results for a while but didn't make a massive effort to get in touch etc. so I'm not sure if I'm over reacting by still feeling so anxious waiting for results, or of things are likely to be fine.

So any more experience or advice from others who have been in similar situations would be great!
