Do a Youtube search for pregnancy workout,

Loads on there and they are free!

I am a reluctant exerciser at the best of times and have found workout DVDs to be the only thing I can commit to. Not a gym bunny! Before I got pregnant I used to do Davina McCalls "Davina Fit" 3 or 4 times a week so I have bought her pre and post pregnancy workout DVD. I've had a go at it already but to be honest it's still too easy. I'm currently 12 weeks so am still doing the "Davina Fit" but following the low impact instructions. I will definitely move on to the prenatal one in 3rd trimester and probably before. It focuses on transverse muscles, hip and thigh and flexibility. It also has a bit on pelvic floor and a lovely relaxation bit where you can lie on your side. If you are already super fit you might want something tougher.

I have all the Davina DVDs so ordered her pregnancy workout one. But so many people are saying its far too easy for First Trimester. I suppose it depends on your fitness levels and how you are feeling.

Complete Pregnancy Fitness with Erin O' Brien is supposed to be really good and more intense than the Davina so I have that coming as well. I did a lot of research and those were the only two I fancied.

A studio nearby me also does antenatal pilates which I am thinking of signing up to as it is supposed to be great for strengthening those muscles you'll need in childbirth plus there are really good aqua aerobics classes at the local leisure centre swimming pool which are aimed at pregnant women and are fairly reasonable - although might not look into that until the second trimester.

I've just bought both of those kjh5 - they've only arrived this morning so not tried them yet but both have really good reviews on amazon. I like the sound of the Erin O'Brien one as it sounds like it gives you a good work out but is suitable for pregnancy. Hoping to use that then move on to davina later on in pregnancy. Also hoping I actually get off my backside and do them first Smile

Haha! Mine are on the way misskat although not sure how I am going to get through a workout - feeling knackered and nauseous! Maybe I'll have to start with the Davina. Let me know what you think when you've done them! Smile

I will - although I'm feeling really sick and crap today too so I may be blinking 7 months gone by the time I try em if current activity levels are anything to go by!

I do Tara lee pregnancy yoga. I highly recommend it. There are loads of positive reviews about it on amazon that you can read. I really enjoy it.

Don't laugh, but I used a belt to do workouts. Surprisingly good results. A friend used it and told me about it. I first didn't believe it would work, but it really did. You can watch some video's at easiestworkout.net.
