On mat leave with dc2 and dc1 is in nursery today. Have the whole day to myself...bliss Smile.

Going to do some housework, sort out baby clothes, nap and watch trashy tv.

[Envy] I can not WAIT for mat leave to start! Enjoy your day, MrBlondes, sounds wonderful.

Chilli81 · 13/08/2013 12:04

not til November. boo!
I would probably get even more impatient if I went off any earlier but still like the idea of going off sooner (bit keeping ds1 in childcare obviously).Wink

Me too! DD1 only goes to nursery one day a week, I love my Tuesdays with my new baby Smile

kd83 · 13/08/2013 13:43

Ooh! I cant wait. only 4 weeks left at work and finding it so hard to concentrate.

Roll on the 18th October for me, a weeks annual leave followed by mat leave. Twins due in Nov so a few weeks for just me................... Then the craziness that is twins haha.

BentleyBelly · 13/08/2013 14:51

I've just started my 4th week off and love it...all I need now is the baby to make an appearance!

Woodifer · 13/08/2013 17:55

Hi blonde. I was on maternity leave last week (expecting dc2) but dd's childminder was away last week. So today is first day with dd in nursery. I went back to bed for whole morning! Then did a dog walk. That's about it! :-D

MrBlondesFries · 13/08/2013 18:09

I went bac to bed at 8am when dh took dc1 to nursery and slept til 11.30am!! I felt guilt but really refreshed Smile

I started mat leave on Sunday and am loving it so far!

I've had a lovely shopping trip with my mum buying all my hospital bag bits and initial bits for baby.
Began to pack my hospital bag.

And slept!!!! Lots!!!!

Summer holidays at the moment. Absolutely dreading going back in September at 32 weeks, then working for as long as I physically can!

SeriousStuff · 14/08/2013 13:09

I'm self-emplyed so can't start maternity leave until the contractions start...(due 12th Oct) but I have taken tomorrow, Fri and Mon off as a pre maternity leave treat and I can't wait!
