Really intense cramping in early pregnancy

Hi i'm only 4+3 and after two dc you'd think i'd be used to this!

However the cramps I am experiencing are quite different. It feels like something very odd is going on in there. I'm not in excruciating pain but they are very uncomfortable. They come in waves so I try to rest and take paracetamol.

I've had a brown discharge on wiping just twice but I bled in the first weeks of both previous pregnancies so i'm not overly panicky yet.

I had just forgotten how scary this stage is. It's my third but so wanted.

Hi middleclass this is my first pregnancy so you're more experienced than I am but didn't want to read and run!
I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks and I had awful, horrendous cramping. Felt like I was going to come on my period at any moment. It also came in waves. I went to A&E one night after it woke me up and the intensity of the pain left me in tears and to cut a long story short, after 2 scans and repeated blood tests over a 2 week period to rule out an ectopic, they decided it must have been implantation cramping. It was really bad though! I got cramps on and off until around 8 weeks, and I'm now 15+5 and get the occasional one or two.
As you've had 2 babies in the past could you be more sensitive to the implantation and uterus stretching if that makes sense? I put my horrible experience of implantation cramping down to my body not being used to it and the horrible period pains I used to get before I was pregnant.
HTH. Oh, and congratulations! Flowers Grin

Hi Holly, so glad you're through the first trimester. It is nerve racking.

Actually cramps have settled down this morning but now I don't feel pregnant at all! Yes trying to stay calm as i've been through this twice but my youngest is five so I feel like i've forgotten.

Hope you sail through the rest of your pregnancy, exciting times ahead!

My symptoms really began to kick in at about 7 weeks. Enjoy feeling well while you can! Congratulations on your other two DC as well, how exciting for you all :)
