Anyone been through surrogacy or considered it?

interested in others experiences, I am with a agency but its is so hard to choose couples after reading so many sad profiles has anyone else been a surrogate? how did you know youd picked the right couple? anyone been on the other end of surrogacy, did you click with your surrogate straight away?

Dear give me a boost,
I have not been a surrogate infact I am on the other end of the spectrum, an unfortunate intended parent who is on the lookout for a surrogate. I cannot advice you how to pick the right couple, as we all have sad stories. For eg., I lost two babies as my womb cannot stretch and risk rupture hence had to terminate two of my pregnancies. My little angel was born through surrogacy and is 3 yrs old.
When we met our surrogate , we click ed instantly. We shared similar interests and I knew my baby will be safe with her. I suppose when you see the right couple you willl know they are the ones. I have read bad stories about some IPs who lie, too posh to push, having kids for hidden objectives etc. Just keep your thinking cap on and go for a genuine couple. You are amazing and doing a great thing which people wil be eternally grateful for you. I do belive in God, and can tell you for great minds like you, He surely will look after you.
good luck in your venture. Also please pray for us too. It is a horrible feeling that you can see your baby on the other side of a glass door, u know he is yours, yet u cant cuddle or touch him. So what you are doing is a simply one if the greatest deeds. You hold the key to open this door so unfortunate mommies like me will be blessed with the motherly pleasures.

yes, a few of the stories Ive heard about IPs have been pretty unpleasant, some hiding the fact that they've used a surrogate and one secretly moved away after the birth also some treating the whole thing like a business transaction. I can see any of those senarios as triggers for a PND episode.
