First response pregnancy tests

So we have been trying for our second baby and I thought I was pregnant this month. I should be due on in about 2-3 days, although my cycles have always been a little unpredictable.

So today I have taken a first response test, that can be taken from 6 days before predicted day of period starting and it was negative!

I'm just wondering if anyone has used these and how good they were?

TIA

It depends on when you ovulated and how long it takes for implantation. I think it says on the instructions how accurate they are at each day pre-AF, if not you can definitely get the info online. Good luck!

I didn't find Early Response any better than any other test but Superdrug's own brand ones seem to be good so may be worth getting some of those (they are cheaper and seem to be just as sensitive).

I think it's fairly unusual to get a positive until one or two days before AF due tbh.

Good luck!

First pg it was negative until the day AF was due, second pg it was positive six days before but I'm having twins so probably had higher levels.

I had a very faint pos on the day my period was due ( and this was exact as it was a frozen embryo cycle so I knew exactly when it went back) and my girl is now 24 weeks in utero! X

I used First Response 6 days before period due and had a very very faint positive, i tested again 3 days later and it was a BFP. I think it says on the box how accurate it is each day before period as RockChick said. Maybe test again in a few days? Good luck x

I tested 2 days before I was due and got a very clear negative (no doubt about it) then tested again 3 days after I was due and got nice dark line.
I'm 6 weeks now. Previously, when I've had CPs, I've had a faint positive very early, 4 or so days before I'm due, but this then fades to nothing by the end of the cycle.

All of those varying results were with First Response tests. Can't explain it!

I tried 4 first response (over 2 days) all negative, the following day I tried a super drug early test and got super faint line I'm 30 weeks tomorrow. I don't think there are as sensitive as they saw they are or you would want them to be! There is a list somewhere online telling you how sensitive all the different brands are. Good luck hope you get your BFP!
