It's absolutely fine. Your hair can take the colour differently though due to hormonal changes, and you can suddenly become allergic so the NHS advises you do a patch test.

I waited until after 12 Wks but now have it highlighted every 8 weeks. WinkXx

I haven't dyed my hair in pregnancy and now I'm 34 weeks and have a natural wild ombre look lol. I'm not worried about it harming the baby I'm more worried about having a reaction/it going purple/falling out. But that's just me. Don't think I'll bother now and treat myself after birth instead.

My hairdresser recommended highlights rather than a full dye job. There's no evidence that it's harmful to baby, but some people feel more comfortable with highlights as the colour doesn't touch the scalp. I've had these the whole way through.

Been having highlights all the way through my pregnancy, hairdresser said fine.

I have enough to deal with without having to look like a crazed Labrador with roots! :)
