What is it??

Littlemissexpecting · 10/08/2013 16:37

Do people really buy them?!!! Google images are your friend for those that do not know

MissBeehiving · 10/08/2013 16:37

No, they're pointless. I had some bought for me with DS2. Firstly quite often babies pee immediately the nappy comes off so you won't have time to get it on. If the baby doesn't pee immediately then you have to remember to put it on and then finally the baby has to keep still so the bloody thing doesn't fall off.

MadCap · 10/08/2013 16:41

Agree, completely pointless. Just use a tissue.

Gerty1002 · 10/08/2013 17:28

They look like an utter waste of money... use a baby wipe or a baby sock :)

Chopsypie · 10/08/2013 17:51

Just change them side on instead of feet towards you then it goes onto mat/carpet/ their feet. Just keep a towel/muslin handy!

BellaPamella · 10/08/2013 18:22

I bought them ... cute little things but more of a novelty item. I ended up just using muslin cloths instead.

Good luck with the pee pee :-)

BlackholesAndRevelations · 10/08/2013 18:42

Open the nappy then quickly shut it again! Think expisure to air makes them wee. Then put a wipe or tissue over the willy. Can't imagine that a pee ped teepee would be useful at all!

BlackholesAndRevelations · 10/08/2013 18:44

Haha! Just google imaged. Hilarious! Bless the poor little boys! Grin

ZenNudist · 10/08/2013 18:54

Flannels (& i imagine, muslin cloths) do same job. I have a stack of white/cream ones from matalan. Great for drying baby really well at changing time to prevent nappy rash. I used to keep them on hand & chuck them over them as peeing starts.

Peepeeteepee is an example of slickly marketed baby shit that credulous first time parents buy before they discover they have more useless crap than they know what to do with and they end up throwing half of it away.

We've all been there. I bought a 'baby sleep positioner' wtf- sold it unused on eBay. I think there is less demand for secondhand peepeeteepees!

MooseBeTimeForSpring · 10/08/2013 18:59

Waste of time. It's the change in air temperature that does it. Open and close the nappy once or twice.

My DS never did the pee fountain at home, only in the doctors office :)

GobblersKnob · 10/08/2013 19:04

Christ almighty, that is one of the most pointless, overpriced pieces of lunacy that I have ever seen aimed at guilible first time parents, I can promise you op you DO NOT need this product.

Its like the totally twattery they take on Dragons Den when everyone falls about laughting at the total idiocy of the idea.

RNJ3007 · 10/08/2013 19:06

Pointless. Lob a baby wipe over! I use cloth wipes, so chuck a dry one in there!

AmandaCooper · 10/08/2013 21:15

When do they start doing the pee fountain? DS has never done it.

FrussoHathorAKADaisythecow · 10/08/2013 21:24

Ds has done it a couple of times AC and he's only 12wks. Gets himself in the face more than he gets me. 4:0 so far. I just stick a wipe over his willy.

AmandaCooper · 13/08/2013 22:18

12 weeks! Heavens DS is clearly seeking to lure me into a false sense of security. Maybe I should stop changing him in my bed...
