sorry for TMI but I am really scared . I have brown discharge for the past 2 weeks which is getting worse . It has dark drown like mucus in it . I am so worried it is the beginning of a miscarriage. I have spoken on the phone to midwife but she says not to worry . I wish they would see me or scan to see if baby is ok I am 11 weeks pregnant x

Hope this isn't a mc. I mc last week starting with brown discharge on Sunday and started bleeding heavily on Tuesday so it all happened in a fairly quick timescale.

I went to A&E as was bleeding heavily and they referred me to Epu unit at the same hospital - can you find out where you nearest epu is and what hours they A&E open? If so give them a call and find out if you can be seen by them?

Hi I would agree - get to EPU as soon as you can - preferably first thing Monday morning.
I don't know it this eases your mind but I had a lot of that until I was about 14 weeks. Midwife said it is never normal as such, but GP says she doesn't know anyone who didn't have some.

Hope all is ok.

I think you need to get to EPAU. My MC started like this, at about 12 weeks. There was no pain at this stage. I did have similar in my next (successful) pregnancy, but it was at about 6 months. Fingers crossed for you. Hope other posters can bring better stories.

You should definitely get checked out, BUT a lot of people have this. I had it at two separate points with DD (around 6 weeks and again at 28 weeks), and had some last week at 18 weeks with this DC.

I've just posted on another thread as I had this for 3 weeks from 6-9 weeks and was told its a very common time for implantation bleeding. Am now 27wks.

When I had my previous mc at 6 weeks it did start as brown bleeding but like the poster above it quickly turned heavy and red (within the day).

Hopefully it will be nothing to worry about but definitely phone the epau, some take self referrals and some dont. I thought they would just tell me not to worry when I rang but they invited me straight in for a scan.

Good luck
