Hi all.
I'm only 6 weeks pregnant with baby number two through ivf.
I'm quite large anyway with a large bust size 18, 38f! and ivf drugs always make me expand!

We have a wedding in four weeks that we have to go to it, it is SIL wedding and DD is bridesmaid.
All outfits I have tried already make me huge and I look about four months gone already! Obviously we will try and hide it from family until 12 weeks. Please help me, any suggestions gratefully received. Or if you have been in the same situation what did you do.
Am possibly thinking spanx!
Thanks in advance! X

How old are you? Are you okay with showing legs and arms?

Franchini · 09/08/2013 18:48

Thanks episode. 39 legs and arms are fine!

What about a beautiful colourful empire line dress from the likes of monsoon..? it would skip over all the bits you don't want to highlight Smile

Franchini · 09/08/2013 18:58

Thanks, have a really weird shape and bust usually won't fit into empire line dresses. I really am awkward! Usually try and wear a low v neck due to boobs.

Have now progressed to thinking I might get a sack. :-(

Yes yes to empire line. Spanx could work, I think you can actually get pregnancy spanx which might be good? Or if the weather is cooler just some pregnancy tights, those things are awesome for holding the tummy up a bit.

Aww Fran, don't get disheartened! Can't send you to a wedding in a sack!

have you had a look at 'tiffany rose' website? fabulous maternity dresses for special occasions! I wore one of them recently to my brothers wedding at 28 weeks preggers and a size 16, and people kept complimenting me which made me feel great as I was feeling like a sweaty fat mess haha!

the great thinf about tiffany rose is their super speedy delivery, and will send you a different size whilst you still have the first purchase at no extra cost (as long as you send the wrong size back within 28 days of getting the 2nd size in the post). super duper helpful people to deal with too!! have a look! plenty of different kinds of dresses :)

Ah, cross posted! Um, well, how about a wrap over front? Something like this: uk.monsoon.co.uk/view/product/uk_catalog/mon_6.2/4530080110

You could also hire a maternity one, they're not all just for huge bumps and some of them might disguise it. Somewhere like this: www.hireexpectations.co.uk/dresses-1

Or, I love the dresses that you wrap around yourself and wear lots of different ways, like this: www.notonthehighstreet.com/inoneclothing/product/multiway-knee-length-dress-navy

Finally, this is a maternity dress but I don't think looks like one, I know you said no empire lines but this is ever so low cut: www.notonthehighstreet.com/verrykerry/product/fleur-de-lis-tulip-dress

I wore the allesandra in sea breeze, and love it so much that I'm getting it taken up to wear to special occasions after I've got my figure back, the way it sits would suit either preggers or non-preggers!

Popped into Monsoon today, they have a massive sale on, some beautiful dresses. Definitely worth popping in and trying on a few.

I have a wedding in a week, I will be 29+4 with a huge belly and massive boobs, very self conscious about my new pregnancy body. I bought a black v neck maxi in new look a few weeks ago. Plan to accessorize to try and brighten it up a bit, and a cami vest underneath to cover up some of the cleavage. Just wish I hadn't quit using my weights in the first trimester- my arms are so far from toned. At least I know I will be comfy.

Thank you all so much!
