So I am now 24 weeks and I am really craving garlic bread!! I just get a feeling that I really want it and then I can't stop thinking about it to the point were it is driving me insane and I am getting really annoyed and upset when I can't have it!
But DH has decided that its not good for me and so I can't have anymore. Which is driving me insane and making me a) want it more and b) start to really dislike DH!!
Is there anything I can do to stop the cravings? Please someone tell me this is going to end soon!! X

Have some garlic bread!!!!! :) nothin.wrong with it lol

Yonionekanobe · 08/08/2013 22:18

Just eat it! If DH 'decided' what is good for me I'd be tempted to do the exact opposite!

Lovemyprincess4eva · 08/08/2013 22:36

Haha wish I could there is none in the house and he won't go and get me any. Lol.
But think I will be stocking up on it tomora hehe x

This should make you feel better...I had cravings for fire lighters you know the white chalky stuff you put on the fire to light it...well it got so bad that dh had to hide them from me as we have a log burner and use them...I would think about them 24/7 and obviously couldn't satisfy my craving so I was going totally insane...my advice to you...satisfy your craving because you can :)

Make some! Rub garlic on toasted bread. Yum!

TobyLerone · 09/08/2013 08:09

Holy God, what kind of a DH tells you what you can or can't eat?

Unless it's firelighters, obv.

But seriously, what a dick.

Romily · 09/08/2013 09:27

Anything dairy for me, I have been drinking loads and loads of milk and eating cheese triangles Blush

ChairOfTheBored · 09/08/2013 10:24

Good lord. The day DH gets to decide what I eat for me will be a very odd day indeed.

Eat the garlic bread and enjoy. And enjoy some for me to, because since reading this, it's all I want to eat, and there is none in the house.

TobyLerone · 09/08/2013 10:38

Me too! I shall go and get some later.

SunshineMiddle · 09/08/2013 10:55

I want garlic bread now! I don't often eat it - passed up a chicken kiev the other night too - as I work in close contact with customers so would hate to be breathing garlic on them but there's no work tomorrow so I think I'll have to get some to have tonight.

On what basis has OH decided that you shouldn't eat gb?

TobyLerone · 09/08/2013 10:58

Because he is a controlling git?

ExpatAl · 09/08/2013 11:25

You are talking about someone's DH TobyLerone.

I don't think the OP was implying he's locked the kitchen cupboards.

OP you could circumvent this by making tomato bruschettas and being heavy with the garlic.

TobyLerone · 09/08/2013 12:10

Oh, really? Thanks for reminding me Hmm

Telling someone what they can and can't eat is controlling. If the OP is happy to put up with that, fine. But that's what it is.

Lovemyprincess4eva · 09/08/2013 17:08

Its not that he controls me but he said that I need to have other stuff as it is literally all I want to eat!!

And the main thing was he wouldn't go out to get it. Lol.

This was light hearted not for people to slag off my DH x

My DH has cut me off from pickled onions OP. He got fed up with me scoffing a jar and then moaning about heart burn.

JodiLeighLeigh · 09/08/2013 18:00

Bollocks to that OP! Get yourself some garlic bread delivered. You're the one growing a person!

I ate half a huge jar of nutella the other day. Not on toast - just a spoon. Wink

Lovemyprincess4eva · 09/08/2013 22:44

expat that could also be part of it as I do complain a lot that I have heartburn after eating a full one to myself haha x
