Flotation therapy

I've been given vouchers for flotation therapy sessions...am currently 36 weeks and Dr Google says it's fine for this stage of PG. Just wondering if it actually helps or if I should save them for a treat after the baby is born? I can't spend more than a few seconds on my back at this point so not sure how relaxing this will be. Anyone out there floated before? Good or bad experiences?

I had a session when about 36 weeks with my last pregnancy and it was really relaxing. I think your back will be fine - you are suspended in the water rather than floating on top so you can completely relax and get yourself comfortable. I'd forgotten all about it until you posted - might book myself in for some more this time round.

This isn't very helpful but your post reminded me of a disastrous session I had when preggers with DC1! This only happened because I'm claustrophobic and panicked when the lid started closing at the end of the session - I'd been told just to hit the button to stop it closing but I couldn't't think straight and flung myself out onto the tiled floor like a pregnant Indianna Jones escaping before the rock rolls over the cave entrance. I was black and blue all down my left side and felt like such a numpty!

It was lovely up to that point though and unless you're a claustrophobe like me, I think you should go for it!

Andanotherthing I didn't mean to laugh but that is hilarious Smile Poor you!

Thanks for sharing though, think I'll give it a go. At this point, anything for the chance to be comfortable for an hour....

Glad I've not put you off - enjoy your session!
