Hi everyone

Not sure if anyone can help but I'm a bit confused!

I'm currently 37+3 and recently had a placement scan to make sure the baby was in the right position to be low risk for the local MLU. She was, as they suspected head down at the left hand side - just right as they had said all along.

However, this morning she seems to be in a completely different spot! I can no longer feel her back at the lower left hand side and there is a definite lump at the upper right hand side. Is it possible for her to have moved completely? She also hasn't moved much this morning but I'm trying to give her time before I panic about that!

Worth calling the midwife? Or just another anxious first time pregnant lady?!

Hey! Don't panic Smile i think they can still "pivot" at this stage, I'm almost 38 weeks and sometimes baby is on my left side, sometimes right - still head down though. When are you next seeing MW? They can check for you then

Hiya

I'm due to see the midwife Monday so was thinking I could wait to then to ask her but then I got the thought that maybe she could flip right over and become breech and I wouldn't know! Honestly I'm turning into a madwoman!

Oh don't worry, I have worried about these things too, normal! I think unlikely baby has enough room at this point to completely flip (although anything possible!) - are you still feeling movement/kicks at top of your bump? Also less likely if baby has started to engage - don't know if you know whether you have or not? Bet you baby has just pivoted bum around Smile

Yeah my midwife did say that the baby's head had descended a bit into my pelvis at the 36 week check but then I wasn't sure if it was possible for her to wriggle much! I'm definitely getting movement that feels like feet at the top of my bump but also some lower (I thought maybe a hand?!). But there does seem to be something bigger at the top. It's so confusing!! Thanks for the reassurance, glad I'm not the only one worrying about this stuff :)

Mine has started swinging from left to right, but still head down as far as I can tell, I think I would have felt it move from head down to breech at least by now! (39+2w)

Yeah that's a point, if I can feel her stretch a foot out I would probably feel a full forward roll!

I'm a psychologist. Time to give myself a bit of a talking to I think :)
